Information you do not have to give us

Storytimevault does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to read stories.

Information stored on your device

Your reading preferences (such as font size, background-music settings, and selected genres), your saved favourites, and your reading progress are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Information collected automatically for advertising

The app is free and supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process certain information, including your device's advertising identifier, general device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads.

3. How we use information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features.
• To remember your preferences and reading progress on your device.
• To display advertising that keeps the app free to use.
• To diagnose technical problems and improve stability and performance.

4. Advertising & your choices

We use Google AdMob to display ads. Depending on your region and your consent choice, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can change your ad personalization choice at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Settings inside the app. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device's system settings.

5. Children's privacy

Storytimevault is intended for a general, mainstream audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Every story carries clear content guidance and age labels. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

6. Data retention

Because preferences and reading data are stored on your device, they remain until you clear them or uninstall the app. Advertising data is retained by Google in accordance with its own policies.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing.
